it by 11 to find your monthly rate!

To make this plan even better for you, we let you choose if you’d rather be a will-call or automatic delivery customer. You choose the method of delivery that suits your family best so you are ensured optimum comfort and stress-free care.

Cap Price Protection Graph

Price Cap Plan

When enrolling, you sign up to receive your fuel for a predetermined price per gallon. If the cost of fuel goes above this, you CONTINUE to pay the previously agreed upon price per gallon. If it goes below, you pay the lower price!

Additionally, you can enjoy our automatic payment program that uses your debit or credit card. With this plan, you can be enrolled in FREE automatic delivery! Never worry about running out of oil.

Many people aren’t aware of carbon monoxide’s odorless, colorless danger, which can be toxic to humans who are exposed to the chemical in high doses or for an extended time. If more than one person in the same household is simultaneously experiencing any of these symptoms, suspect a carbon monoxide leak and treat it immediately: dizziness, headache, chest pain, memory loss, nausea and vomiting, or difficulty breathing.

We can’t stress enough the toxic effects of exposure to carbon monoxide. If you suspect a carbon monoxide leak in your home, immediately open windows and doors for ventilation, turn o your stove and other combustibles, and remove
people from the affected area. Patients should be treated by a medical professional as soon as possible.

Many lives could be saved if residents could learn to recognize and prevent daily dangers that could lead to carbon monoxide poisoning. Along with installing a carbon monoxide detector in your home, having your home heating system checked before every heating season can increase the safety of your home.

American Standard Special

Check burner switches and be sure they are in the “on” position. There here is one near the burner and usually one at the top of the basement stairs.

Is there enough fuel in your tank?

Is the thermostat set above the current room temperature and on the heat setting?

If your thermostat is electronic, are the batteries dead?

Check the fuse boxes for blown fuses or the circuit panel for tripped circuits.

Turn the main power switch off and wait a few seconds, then turn it back on again. For oil systems, press the RED reset button on the safety control one time only.

If you are still without heat, give us a call at (717) 236-5031.

The TankSure® Program allows you to be proactive in your old tank replacement, and keep your home and property safe. It’s often hard to tell how safe and strong an oil tank is, because they corrode and rust from the inside out. While the exterior of the tank may look perfect, the inside could be dangerously thin. To prevent
and remedy this unfortunate situation, ultrasonic technology is used to test the integrity of your tank.

This program allows us to keep tabs on the strength of your oil tank, keeping your family, home, and property safe. This not only protects what you love most, but keeps more savings in your wallet.

You can earn…

  • $1,000 toward tank replacement for qualifying tanks
  • $200 toward tank replacement for disqualifying tanks

Call W.C. Eshenaur & Son, Inc. at (717) 236-5031 to register for TankSure® today! You’ll be glad you did.

Fall is a gorgeous season, especially in the Pennsylvania area. W.C. Continue reading to learn about how you can save energy this season, which translates directly to money in your bank account.

How to Save Money on Energy in the Fall:

Don’t Peek into That Oven

Fall is the perfect season for baking, and using your oven is a fast way to add warmth to your home! However, each time you open your oven to look inside, the temperature drops 25 degrees and the appliance has to use more energy to catch up. Instead, opt for the oven light to see if your goodies are ready.

Turn Off the Bathroom Fan

Your bathroom fan removes humidity in your home. While this may sound like a good thing, it’s actually the opposite! Humidity makes your home feel warmer, allowing you to turn down your thermostat without a reduction in comfort. Each degree you lower your thermostat can save you 2% on your energy bill.

Tune-Up That Equipment

When you schedule a tune-up with W.C. Eshenaur & Son, Inc., our certified technicians will visit your home and ensure that your equipment is operating at peak efficiency. They are trained to detect ways to improve the operation of your system, allowing you the same or better home comfort without additional cost. Click here to plan your fall tune-up today, and we’ll get you in the schedule!

Reduce Vampire Energy with a Power Strip

Although fall is Halloween time, you don’t want “vampire energy” lurking in your house! This is a term used to describe the energy used when devices are plugged in but not in use – that is, standby mode. This mode can use a surprising amount of power, but can be simply combated. Just plug your devices into a power strip and shut the strip off when you aren’t using the electronics. This way, you greatly reduce the amount of standby power you pay for.

Stay Warm This Season

We at W.C. Eshenaur & Son, Inc. hope you have a beautiful and savings-filled autumn! Thank you for choosing W.C. Eshenaur & Son, Inc. as your full-service HVAC providers. We look forward to serving you with our legendary customer service and competitive pricing for many years to come.

We’re already halfway through summer, which means cooler weather is fast approaching! Did you know that it is just as important to keep an eye on your oil tank during the warmer months as it is during peak heating season? By filling your oil tank now and checking it for any damage that could have occurred during the warmer months, you could be saving money and time down the road.

Avoid Damage to Your Oil Tank

Your oil tank is the epicenter of your home when the temperature drops in the fall and winter, but it’s likely it’s the last thing on your mind during the summer. However, the summer heat and humidity could be causing damage to your tank even when you’re not running your heating system. Moist air and condensation in the fuel storage tank can lead to buildup that corrodes the structure and leads to unnecessary repairs and tank replacements. The added costs of tune-ups and oil tank replacement can be avoidable with a heating system maintenance plan.

Most maintenance plans offered by your home heating technicians include routine check-ups that prevent unforeseen breakdowns and improve heating system efficiency. You’ll extend the lifespan of your heating system, which will help your oil tank, too.

Benefits of Summer Fill-Ups

Keeping your oil tank full will help prevent moisture build up inside of your tank. Not to mention, when you order heating oil in the summer you can take advantage of lower pre-season rates and skip the wait for delivery when heating oil is in the highest demand. A full oil tank also increases home safety, equipment and energy efficiency, and will save you money on home heating fuel costs.

To learn more on how you can ensure your oil furnace or boiler is running at peak efficiency in the upcoming heating season, contact W.C. Eshenaur & Son, Inc. energy service specialists. Don’t wait for higher heating oil costs and unpredictable oil tank issues, call (717) 236-5031 for maintenance or to schedule a fuel delivery.

After months of cold, rainy weather, everyone loves to embrace the warmth and long days that come with summer. As a homeowner in Pennsylvania, you can prepare for a comfortable season by enjoying the outdoors and making sure you have an energy-efficient house to come home to! Check out these energy-saving tips to stay cool and save money all summer long:

Cooling Maintenance Plan

1. Enroll in a Cooling Maintenance Plan.

Find the perfect Cooling Maintenance Plan for your home and budget. You can save money and time by signing up for a hassle-free program to keep your energy systems in tip-top condition. Choose the offer that’s right for you by clicking this link, and start saving energy and money today.

Cook Outside

2. Break Out That Barbeque.

Using your oven can heat up your home, competing with your air conditioner. Soak in the summer instead by using a propane grill and keeping the heat outside.

A/C Rebates

3. Enjoy an Instant Rebate and Convenient Financing.

We at W.C. Eshenaur & Son, Inc. want your home to be as comfortable as possible. Take advantage of our customer benefits of up to a $1000 instant rebate or 0% APR for 3 years. Enjoy your summer with some extra cash in your pocket.

Use Fans

4. Use Fans to Spread the A/C Wealth.

According to Energy.gov, residents in Pennsylvania spent an average of $934 per year on home energy costs in 2012. By using a ceiling fan, you spread the air conditioning around your home and can raise your thermostat 4°F without a noticeable temperature difference. Just remember to turn your fan off when you leave the room, because fans only cool people!

Ductless A/C

5. Take Advantage of Zone Heating.

Our heat pumps may sound like a winter accessory, but they can actually help regulate your home temperature to keep certain rooms warmer than others. This allows you to keep certain areas in your home cooler, like your living room, kitchen, and bedroom.

Annual A/C Maintenance

6. Plan a Tune-Up for Your Air Conditioner.

Annual maintenance plans for your residential HVAC system can work wonders for your utility bills. A tune-up performed by a certified technician in your area will keep your home cool and comfortable while using less energy by allowing your appliance to run at maximum efficiency all summer long. Make sure to ask your technician if your filter needs to be replaced—a clean filter will allow your A/C to run smoothly without wasting energy!

Contact local experts at W.C. Eshenaur & Son, Inc. for more energy-savings tips this summer, and make sure your A/C is running at its full capacity today!

How You Benefit

  • Know exactly what you’re paying each month.
  • Budget for any other household bills with ease.

Is your current cooling system more than 10 years old? If so, you could unnecessarily be wasting hundreds of dollars a year on energy bills. Don’t worry – there’s a simple fix. By switching to new, energy-efficient equipment, you’ll be saving money, helping the environment, and ensuring the comfort of your home during all four seasons here in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

At W.C. Eshenaur & Son, Inc., we specialize in two types of air conditioning: Central air conditioning, which uses previously installed ductwork to spread cool air evenly throughout the house; and ductless mini-split systems, whereby a mounted unit evenly distributes cool air throughout your home without the use of ductwork.

Whichever system you choose, you’ll reap many rewards, including:

The Benefits of an Upgraded Air Conditioning System:

Lower Cooling Costs

When you utilize higher efficiency heating and cooling systems, you can look forward to more effective energy output. This means your systems run less to produce the same amount of energy. Both ENERGY STAR certified central air conditioners and ductless heat pumps have a higher season energy efficiency ratio (SEER) rating, and use about 8% less energy than other new models. Replacing an old, inefficient system with an ENERGY STAR-rated model can save you about $200 per year on your utility bills.  Plus, installing a programmable thermostat with your new system can save you even more, by allowing you to control the amount of time the air is actually on.

Cleaner Indoor Air

Air conditioners circulate and filter air, removing pollutants and mold from the environment. However, the older your air conditioner is, the less efficient it is at doing so, and the more likely it is to get dirty and actually contribute to indoor air pollution. By switching to a new A/C system, you can breathe easier, especially if you or your family members suffer from asthma and allergies.

Quieter Operation

Is your air conditioning keeping you up at night? Many of today’s models offer whisper-quiet operation, so you can get to sleep faster, and keep cool and comfortable all night long.

Increased Home Value

Adding central air conditioning or a new ductless mini-split system to your home won’t just create comfort for your family, it will also add value to the home for years to come.

If you would like to learn more about the different air conditioning systems that W.C. Eshenaur & Son, Inc. can provide, feel free to contact our experts. They will be happy to help you pick the best system for your home or come by and perform much needed annual maintenance. Don’t forget, we also offer FREE estimates!

Spring has officially arrived in Pennsylvania and warm weather will be here before we know it. If you keep your home cool with central air or ductless air conditioning, now is the time to schedule your annual tune-up! Routine maintenance from an HVAC professional is the best way to ensure uninterrupted comfort all summer long.

What Are the Benefits of an Air Conditioning Tune-Up?

Just like your car, your cooling system requires professional service to run safely and smoothly. A tune-up is highly recommended by local energy professionals because of these valuable advantages:

  • Increased Efficiency

When the first heat wave hits, you want to know that your air conditioner is up to the challenge. During your tune-up, your service technician will perform adjustments that will help your equipment run as efficiently as possible.

  • Lower Energy Bills

Greater operating efficiency means lower energy costs. When your air conditioning system is running at peak performance, you will reduce energy use and save money.

  • Reduced Risk of Service Calls

A tune-up from a trained cooling specialist can help avoid a surprise breakdown during the hottest days of summer. Your technician will check all necessary operating features, and if a part requires replacement you can have it taken care of before temperatures start to climb. Not to mention, this will protect your wallet from expensive service calls! Want even more protection? Sign up for a Cooling Maintenance Plan that includes preventative maintenance and parts coverage, just in case.

  • Improved Indoor Air Quality

Preventative maintenance improves your equipment and the air you breathe. Schedule a tune-up during the spring to reduce the amount of common household allergens and pollutants in the air.

  • Better Overall Comfort

Summer in the Northeast can really bring the heat. A/C systems that receive an annual tune-up are able to provide even, reliable cooling when you need it most.
